New £5 note & £1 coins

16th September 2016 By davidlanglands

As new £5 notes and £1 coins start in circulation it is important to alert parents that the lunch revaluer machines are unable to accept the new notes and coins.

Unfortunately this is a national issue and something we are unable to resolve until a national vending solution is designed, and roled out.

Suppliers estimate that this could take several years before a reliable national solution is found and hardware is upgraded.

If students arrive with new £1 and £5 coins/notes we will be unable to change or accept as we operate a cashless school.

Very soon we will operate parent pay where parents can allocate funds online and via pay point stores.

We will update you soon with progress made on activating online payment.
