Free School Meal Voucher Scheme

5th April 2020 By davidlanglands

The government has announced a supermarket voucher scheme for parents/carers whose children are in receipt of free school meals (FSM). The voucher scheme provides electronic vouchers to the value of £15 per week.

We have contacted all parents/carers who are eligible by text message and email with instructions to register for this supermarket voucher scheme.

In order to prevent fraud and ensure that the vouchers are delivered to the correct parents & carers we have asked FSM recipients to register for the scheme. This scheme is not auto enrolment, you must register with the school following the instructions sent by text & email.

Instructions & Further details:

  • The school issued an electronic form by text message on the 1st April 2020. The deadline for registration was 3rd April 2020.
  • The responses have now been processed and have been sent to the finance team to submit your details to the Department of Education (DfE).
  • Where your details match our database, we can proceed with your vouchers quickly.

If your details don’t match

A number of parents & carers have submitted email addresses to the school that do not match our records. In order to proceed with the voucher scheme, we need further confirmations from yourself. We are unable to advance because we cannot guarantee that the vouchers will reach you safely.

We will send you a text message informing you that your details do not match. A link will direct you to this page. We will send an email to the email address we have on our database. You will need to confirm to us which email address is correct, and you can do this by replying to the email we send you, or by replying to the text message we send you. We will then proceed with your voucher claim.

If you do not confirm your correct email, then we will not proceed with your voucher order.

Late Registration

If you have responded to our registration form after the 3rd April, you may find a delay in processing your vouchers. We will work with you as quick as possible to process your application.

Fraud and Phishing

We will not ask for any payment details from you, and we will only send emails and text messages to you from our usual address. If you are worried or in doubt, contact school by office@seahamhighschool.com
