Good Afternoon
Further to my announcement this morning I am afraid I am going to have to close the Year 7 Group Bubble and the Year 8 Group Bubble at the end of school today for the period of one week. This is due to the numbers of staff that are now having to self isolate at home due to either the positive cases we have had in school or positive cases in their personal circumstances.
Therefore school will be open only to Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 next week. Unless you have been contacted individually and given a self isolation letter then your child is not required to self isolate. Vulnerable students and children of Key workers will be contacted directly to discuss provision. Any students who are already self isolating and due back later next week should not attend school as it will be closed to Years 7 and 8.
Unfortunately we will not be able to provide live lessons as staff who are in school will be required to cover or support those classes in school. Therefore we will be setting work for all Year 7 and Year 8 students via Google classrooms. If your child is currently self isolating then the live lessons will end today and they need to complete work set on Google classrooms. More details regarding this are attached.
Details regarding those students on Free School Meals will follow.
I apologise for this situation but feel in the interests of safety I have to reduce the numbers of students in school given the shortage of staff. Year 7 and Year 8 will re-open on Monday 23rd November to all students who have not been advised to self isolate.
