Engaging Minds, Broadening Horizons

Equality Objectives

Our Equality Objects for 2023/2024 are:

Continue to robustly challenge racist and homophobic attitudes through promoting understanding and tolerance through curriculum development, character building off the 6R’s and the establishment and work of an LGBTQIA+ group, anti bullying group and peer support network.

‘Promote improved outcomes and well-being for students with disabilities. To do this we will ensure an inclusive education for all through Quality First Teaching and encourage a culture of inclusion and diversity, where students feel free to disclose their disabilities and are able to participate fully in all aspects of school life.’

Promote social mobility by raising aspirations through an enhanced and improved Careers guidance programme including one to one career interviews for Year 11 students, a comprehensive programme from Y7 upwards and a curriculum focus on the importance of careers in education.
