Curriculum for Students

At Seaham you will be in mixed ability classes for Y7, then placed in a Pathway according to your ability.

There are four Pathways each offering a slightly different provision in terms of the subjects on offer and the amount of time you will be expected to study each subject.

We offer a 5 year curriculum designed to make you GCSE ready in Y10, to sit your examinations in Y11. You will follow the National Curriculum for all subjects and will complete the National Curriculum before you leave the school in Y11. Subjects you might study are as follows;

When you are GCSE ready, you will follow a core built around English, Maths, Science, Beliefs and Values and PE.  There will then be the opportunity for you to personalise by following a specific route allowing you to choose between the following subjects;
