The School Council values the views and ideas of all students at Seaham School and will offer the chance for those views to be represented in a positive and meaningful manner.
Purpose of Council
The School Council aims to offer all students at Seaham School the opportunity for their views to be represented at the highest level of School management.
Form Groups will elect two representatives to attend a Family Coucil organised by their Family Leader. This group will then select two representatives from each Family to attend the whole school Council meeting.
The School Council will meet on the first Thursday of every month.
The Council will be Chaired by the Head Boy and Head Girl, a Year 11 student (Prefect) will record minutes and type up agenda. Family Leaders will maintain records of all meetings and ensure agendum etc are distributed
Each member of the Council should receive a copy of the next agenda at least 3 days in advance of the Council meeting.
Agenda and Minutes should be recorded and placed on a School Council notice board as quickly as possible.
Representatives from the Council will meet with members of the Leadership Team and a Link Governor to discuss issues raised.
