MESSAGE FROM CHAIR OF GOVERNORS

I feel privileged to have been re-elected as Chair of Governors for Seaham High School, a school where I was formally a student. I am looking forward to working with the Headteacher, the Academy Trust and the rest of the Governing Body, to continue with the great work that has already happened.

Currently I am a Group Manager in Cleveland Fire Brigade, where I am the Head of the Training and Assurance department, being responsible for development of all staff both new and experienced within the county, as well as assuring our operational activities.

I have a vested interest in the school and its future, with the children of family and friends being pupils here and we have a great school here at Seaham, with great teaching and support staff and an excellent Leadership Team. In my role as Chair of Governors I will be able to contribute to the school and help it continue providing the best possible education for each child that attends, looking ahead at the challenges and opportunities in the future.
